The grand Annual Day celebration, Gurukula Utsav, was inaugurated by Lt Gen Raju Somashekar. Sir, who retired as the Vice Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army in November 2023 and has since settled in Baggavalli, Chikmagalur.

With his experience of visiting numerous schools across the country over the past years, his presence was truly inspiring.

The event began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony alongside the school management team.

Students delivered vibrant cultural performances, reflecting their talent and enthusiasm.

The celebration marked a memorable evening of pride, inspiration, and joy for the entire Gurukula family.

Van Mahotsav is a celebration that highlights the crucial role trees and forests play in maintaining ecological balance, providing oxygen, improving air quality, conserving water, and supporting wild-life. Our school encouraged students to actively participate in tree planting and care, contributing to increased green cover and combating deforestation.

Tree Plantation Drive

On 3rd August 2024, our students proudly planted trees along the KSRTC Bus Depot road.

This initiative not only aimed to beautify the area but also instilled a sense of responsibility in our students to care for the environment.

A Commitment to Sustainability

We are committed to maintaining these plants and promoting ecological awareness among our

students, inspiring them to become responsible stewards of the environment.

“The best scientists are those who believe in the potential of their ideas, even when the world doubts them.”

Our school hosted a science exhibition on December 14, 2024, providing a platform for students to showcase their innovative scientific projects, experiments, and models to parents, friends, and teachers.

This event saw a large number of students collaboratively organizing their models, demonstrating exceptional teamwork and cooperation. The science exhibition enhanced research skills and creativity among students, developed their presentation and communication abilities, and facilitated hands-on experiences that fostered a deeper understanding of scientific concepts. By encouraging students to explore and showcase their scientific talents, the event successfully inspired the next generation of innovators and thinkers.

Our school joyously celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava to honor the formation of Karnataka and to instill a deep sense of pride in its rich cultural heritage. The event was filled with vibrant activities that reflected the spirit and legacy of our land.

Students actively took part in a variety of performances and competitions, including the recitation of Kannada slogans and poems, powerful mono acts and skits portraying legendary figures, melodious folk songs, and an engaging “Show and Tell” segment that highlighted their knowledge of Karnataka.

Through heartfelt tributes to the great personalities who shaped Karnataka’s history, our students expressed their admiration and respect for the cultural identity of the state. The celebration not only enriched their understanding of Karnataka’s traditions but also strengthened their bond with their roots, filling the campus with pride and cultural unity.

“The secret to a healthy life starts with our vegetables.”

We celebrated Vegetable Market Day with the goal of nurturing a love for vegetables among our

children. This engaging and educational event was designed to help students understand

the importance of including vegetables in their daily diet, while also familiarizing them with the wide variety of vegetables commonly used in their meals.

Throughout the event, students had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in several practical areas. They learned how to operate a billing machine, weigh vegetables accurately, interact with customers confidently, and manage transactions by calculating change and handling money.

More than just a fun activity, Vegetable Marketing Day offered our students a valuable chance to build essential life skills. At the same time, it reinforced the importance of vegetables in maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

A Celebration of Motherly Love

The best cook in the world is undoubtedly a mother—her recipes are always topped with

unmatched love and warmth. While restaurants may serve exquisite food, nothing compares to

the affection infused into a meal made by a mom. It’s a reminder to cherish and value our mothers every single day.

Inspired by the selfless love of mothers, we recently organized a special event at our school called Mathru Bhojana. In this heartfelt celebration, children were served delicious meals lovingly prepared by their own mothers, highlighting the deep and nurturing bond between mother and child.

The event was a beautiful tribute to a mother’s love and care, an acknowledgment of her pivotal

role in raising and shaping her children, and a reflection of the spirit of unity within our school community. Through Mathru Bhojana, we honored the universal essence of motherhood and the lasting impact it leaves on every child’s life.

“When a mother serves food, it’s not just a meal—it’s a memory filled with love. Mathru Bhojana is a celebration of that timeless bond, where every bite tells a story of care, warmth, and togetherness.”
